"European Women: Innovating for Smart, Sustainable & Inclusive Growth" is a high-level panel discussion on the contribution of women leaders, entrepreneurs and scientists to achieving the Europe 2020 vision. The event is hosted by Cefic*, the European chemical industry council, as part of a three-day "Tomorrow Starts with Chemistry" event celebrating the International Year of Chemistry 2011. The takes place 14:00-16:00, on 23 November, at the Albert II Auditorium at Palais des Academies, Rue Ducale/Hertogstraat 1, in Brussels.
Speakers, panelists and audience members will contribute to a moderated discussion addressing the following topics:
- Challenges to achieving smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in Europe;
- Contributions to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, and lessons learned by leading women in science and innovation in Europe; and
- Opportunities for increasing women’s role in achieving the Europe 2020 vision through science and innovation.
Important Notes: Copies of the book European Women & Science, published by EUCheMS, will be available for purchase at the event. After the panel discussion, speakers and audience members are also welcome to refreshments and a visit of the “Tomorrow Starts with Chemistry” exhibit, open till 17:00.
